1. The Highest Mountains on Earth:
Nepal is home to Mt. Everest, the highest mountain in the world at an elevation of 8848 meters (29,029 feet) above sea level.

The mountain lies on the border of Nepal and Tibet, and it is part of the greater Himalayan ranges. Nepal has numerous mountains and ranges including the notable Himalayan ranges. These mountains have contributed significantly to the unique ecosystem present in Nepal and other countries within the region. The first measurement of the mountain’s height was recorded in 1856, but it was inaccurate due to Nepal’s refusal to let foreigners in the country.
2. The Second-Deepest Canyon in the World:
Nepal is an extreme territory both in altitude as depth and we confirm it through the existences of Kali Gandaki canyon with 4,375 meters is the second deepest canyon in the world.

Also referred to as Andha Galchi, is one of the world’s deepest gorges formed by the Kali Gandaki River (a tributary of the Ganges River) that flows through the Himalayan summits of Annapurna and Dhaulagiri in the Nepal Himalayas.

4. The World's only National Flag that is non-Quadrilateral in Shape:
Nepal is the only country in the world with a non-rectangular flag, making its triangular flag very unique. This is because it is the world’s only flag that is not quadrilateral. It is based on the Vedic tradition of Hindu flags, which are typically triangular.

Nepal’s national flag consists of a crimson red colour. This colour is the hue of rhododendron. It represents a triumph in war. The upper triangle consists of the moon, and the lower triangle has the sun. The two triangles in the national flag display two main religions: Hinduism and Buddhism. The symbols also signify the inherent nature of the Nepalese – fierce and calm.
5. Nepal Was Never Under Any Foreign Invasion:
Nepal is one of the few countries in the world that has never been invaded or colonized by another nation. The British East India Company tried to capture Nepal three times, but never successfully.

After the third attempt, a peace treaty was signed between Great Britain and Nepal, and Nepal was declared a sovereign country and that is the reason why Nepal does not have an Independence Day, unlike many other nations. Nepal is also the oldest country in South Asia. It was in 2006, Nepal was declared officially secular by its parliament.
